Are there Meals on Wheels in your community? If so, let them know about the Season of Suppers program sponsored by Banfield Charitable Trust. A Meals on Wheels representative can download an application from this page.
This is an initiative that enables local Meals On Wheels programs to begin or sustain pet food distribution programs in order to nourish the Pets of seniors. Funds raised during the annual Season of Suppers campaign in November and December each year help sustain and expand WALOP initiatives at local Meals On Wheels programs throughout the country.
Animal shelters and welfare agencies with creative volunteer programs can submit your volunteer program for a grant from PetSmart Charities.
The PetSmart Charities® Model Volunteering Program (MVP) rewards agencies for innovative volunteer programs that best utilize the time, skills and passion of their volunteers for outstanding results. The goal: We’re looking for creative solutions to maximize volunteer contributions in animal-welfare agencies. We want to share these model volunteering programs with other agencies across North America. Each quarter, PetSmart Charities will select one winning agency from those who submit their MVP. The winning agency will receive a $1,000 award check.
