On February 2, 2023, a devastating accident occurred in the Catskill Mountains, claiming the life of Seuk Kim, a volunteer pilot with the Pilots N Paws organization. Kim was flying three small dogs from Maryland to Albany, New York, when the plane he was piloting crashed.

Kim’s mission was to transport dogs from the Fayette County Animal Shelter to other parts of the country, giving them a second chance at a happy life.
