Dog nicknamed Buckethead rescued after more than a week of search efforts

The dog, who was last seen on July 17th, was found wandering near the town of St. Johnsbury, Vermont. He was discovered by a local resident, who alerted authorities. The resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, contacted the Vermont State Police and reported the dog. The dog was found in a state of distress, suffering from starvation and dehydration. He was taken to the Vermont Animal Hospital in St. Johnsbury for treatment.

The dog was later found wandering the streets of Derby, Vermont, on August 28. The dog was named Buckethead, or Buckey, by the local community. The dog’s owner, a local woman named Sarah, had been searching for him for over a week.
