The dog, who was last seen on July 17th, was found wandering near the town of St. Johnsbury, Vermont. He was discovered by a local resident who noticed him looking thin and weak. The resident, who wished to remain anonymous, contacted the local animal shelter and reported the dog. The shelter then contacted the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department, who were able to locate and rescue Buckethead. Buckethead’s rescue was a collaborative effort between multiple organizations.

The dog was later identified as a mixed breed, and the bucket was later removed. The dog was then reported missing on August 28, and a search effort was launched. The search effort involved local residents, animal control officers, and volunteers.
